Some skin tones get a short prep routine before treatment, for the most even result. A few temporary situations mean we'll simply wait before treating, like pregnancy or breastfeeding, an active cold sore or skin infection, or recent Accutane use. We'll walk through everything together at your visit.

Low Energy treatments feel warm and are comfortable without numbing. For Medium and High Energy treatments and the Eye Protocol, we apply a numbing cream first.

It depends on the energy level. Low Energy: a few days of redness and light flaking. Medium Energy: 2–5 days of light browning and peeling as the treated layer sheds, with some pinkness for about a week. High Energy: 7–10 days. We'll plan your treatment around your calendar.
